Where to Begin

The world is large.
Start with one journey.

For travelers who want what membership delivers — a fully designed itinerary, every detail handled, expert local network — without the annual commitment.

How It Works

Single trips, same standard.

A single-journey engagement gives you the full Inspired Citizen experience for one trip — without committing to an annual membership. Same designers, same network of hoteliers and local fixers, same in-destination support.

Most members started as single-trip clients. It’s a good way for both sides to know if a longer relationship makes sense. If you decide to apply for membership after your first journey, your trip planning fee can be credited toward the annual rate.

Common Questions

Before you book

A single trip is a one-time engagement with the same designers, network, and support members enjoy. Membership adds preferred pricing across journeys, priority planning, year-round counsel, and a longer relationship with our team. If you only travel once a year, single trips are often the right fit.

It covers the design and execution of your trip — itinerary, all bookings, document preparation, in-destination support, and post-trip follow-up. The fee does not include the trip itself (hotels, flights, restaurants, activities), which we book on your behalf at the rates we negotiate.

For most destinations, 8–12 weeks is comfortable. For peak seasons (safari in dry season, August in the Med, Japan in cherry-blossom or autumn), 4–6 months gives us the most options. We can move faster when needed — including same-week trips when a private network is the only way through.

Travel changes. We build flexibility into every itinerary and handle date shifts, party changes, and last-minute reroutes as part of the engagement. The planning fee covers up to 90 days of itinerary revisions and live coordination.

We design full journeys — we don’t operate as a hotel-booking service. The planning fee reflects the design work, the network access, and the support. For a single hotel booking, you’d be better served booking directly or through the hotel’s own concierge.

Yes. If you apply and are accepted to membership within 12 months of your single trip, the $3,000 planning fee is credited toward your first year’s membership.
