Life can be rainy at times, so it’s always a good idea to keep a bevy of sturdy and stylish umbrellas at your fingertips in case you get yourself caught in a storm. On a recent trip to Ireland, in the middle of County Clare, I was exploring the countryside and found myself in the heart of an unexpected downpour. Luckily, I was carrying an umbrella which comes from one of my favorite brands, Senz.
Senz is the brainchild of a dutch engineering and design student, Gerwin Hoogendoorn. Gerwin was frustrated with his existing umbrella choices, which often could not hold-up to the frequent spring and autumn rains of Northern Europe. So, with his idea and motivation at hand, he pursued his dream and created Senz.
Now, I’ve tried many an umbrella in my day – big ones, small ones, blue ones, tall ones. But, none, and I mean none, have compared to Senz. These umbrellas hold up, and hold up again. They look beautiful, often with a unique asymmetrical design which serves both beauty and function. In this photo, I am jumping for joy, literally, with the fact that my umbrella is not only doing its job, but is dependable and nice to look at. You must try Senz. But, once you do, you’ll never go back.
