La Griveliere is a must for any coffee lover and any lover of history. A storied plantation hidden deep in the forested hills of Basse-Terre, this small coffee mill in Guadeloupe offers the most beautiful coffee moments on the island.

You can purchase tickets for just a few euros and be on your way up the hill to discover buildings that were built over one hundred years ago.

The plantation has been in existence since 1761 and continues to grow, roast and produce coffee.

Roaming the cobbled paths here, you almost feel like you’ve stumbled across a ghost town of sorts – with generations of owners and workers who never left this site.
